The student builds a simple model to reinforce the computer science and programming concepts learned during Module 1. Our goal is that users are able to build NetLogo from source on their platform of choice (Mac, OS X, or Linux). NetLogo is a multi-agent programmable modeling environment. In NetLogo, the student learns about procedures. We will focus on the computer science concept of decomposition and on data representation. Learning Objective: The learning objective of Module 1 is to provide a brief introduction to computer science and introduce the student to the NetLogo programming interface.
